About Dr. Buczek
Ronald Buczek II, DO FACOS received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Texas Tech University. He then received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from University of North Texas. His residency in General Surgery was completed at Medical City Fort Worth. This was followed by a fellowship in Trauma/Surgical Critical Care at the University of Utah. Dr. Buczek then decided to specialize in Hand Surgery.
He completed his Hand surgery fellowship at Kettering Heath Network/Ohio University – Dayton, Ohio. Dr. Buczek’s areas of clinical interest include arthroplasty, microsurgery and peripheral nerve surgery, including targeted muscle reinnervation. Additionally, since fellowship he has practiced in several busy trauma centers, and is well versed in the management of complex upper extremity fractures from finger tip to elbow.
Dr. Buczek is a Texas native, but a newcomer to the Austin area. He most recently practiced in Houston for the past several years, where he was Core Faculty at the University of Houston/HCA Kingwood General Surgery residency program. In his free time, he enjoys learning other languages, working on his cars, and traveling.
