500 Robotic Surgeries Done!

On Friday March 26th we celebrated the 500th surgery by ATX Robotic Surgery.

The ATX RS team came together at The Austin Beer Garden Brewing Co. to celebrate completing 500 surgeries. Our team includes our medical staff, office staff, business operations and the technology team. Most importantly, former patients joined our celebration to commemorate this milestone.

The ATX team enjoyed reflecting on memorable cases from the past year and all the amazing people we were able to help. Among the more interesting cases remembered, were: the emergent ruptured appendix in a young mother who was 31 weeks pregnant, and a very complex hernia surgery that typically would have required a large open incision and a one week hospital stay for the patient. This particular hernia patient went home the same day after Dr. Burman performed his robotic magic.
